Let it be fun. Let it be light. Let it remind you that small things can make a big difference. 🖤

Hey hey! Welcome back to the show, and happy summer. ☀️

Today’s episode is short, fun, and kinda like if you and I were catching up over iced coffee or sitting poolside with a mocktail. I’m sharing 10 summer things that are saving me right now — the little rhythms, routines, books, products, and mindset shifts that are bringing me joy, energy, and sanity in this season.

No pressure, no homework. Just a peek into the things that are keeping me grounded and smiling this summer. Let’s dive in! 🖤

1. Four O’Clock Floats

This started as a silly idea I had in Dallas to transition out of work mode and into evening mode and it morphed when we moved to Florida and Charlie started working from home, too — we call it 4 o’clock floats and like I said, it’s how we transition out of work mode. And now with Crave… it’s kind of a non-negotiable. We hop in the pool, phones away, no agenda. Sometimes we chat, sometimes we just float in silence, sometimes we bring a book, but it gives our brains and bodies a chance to breathe. It’s become a ritual of rest — and I honestly crave it.

2. Fiction Reads + Crave Book Club

There’s just something about a good fiction book in the summer. It hits different, right? Getting lost in a story reminds me to slow down and actually gets me back to my childlike self who loved reading all day long. And hosting a live book club at Crave has made it even more fun — getting to talk about twists and plot holes and characters with other women? Yes please. It’s like adult summer camp vibes in the best way.

3. Grocery Delivery (I know… who even am I?)

Listen— if ya’ll are OG you know— I used to be the girl filming full-blown Trader Joe’s hauls. And if you’re new around here just know that grocery shopping was part of my brand. But this season of life — with Crave, the membership, the podcast, retreats and just… being a human — it’s full. And I realized that I just simply didn’t have the extra time to roam the aisles. Proof that something you were known for can shift and that’s okay. Proof that you can adapt and shift and make your routines WORK FOR YOU instead of strong holding them bc “it’s who you are.” So this summer? Grocery delivery has entered the chat. No guilt. Just grace and groceries.

4. RECLAIM30 Reset with The Sisterhood

I created the RECLAIM30 challenge for my sisterhood community, but honestly… I needed it just as much. After a rocky start to the year, I was craving a reset and a return to ME. Doing the things that help me FEEL by best. Insert RECLAIM30. 6 simple ways I’ve been pouring into ME each day so that I can rise up and reclaim some of the things that might’ve gotten lost in the harder seasons. This has look liked:

Moving my body.
Hitting my water goals.
Fueling my body like I love myself.
Getting outside.
Going alcohol free.
And making sure I do something for my mind every day - I like to call it mental hygiene.

Ya’ll. I teach and preach this stuff and time and time again I’m shocked at how GOOD I feel from the inside out when I commit to these 6 simple routines. Highly suggest if you missed joining us for our RECLAIM30 in The Sisterhood that you give yourself the gift of committing to these best self choices.

5. My Royal Blue Era

Okay, this one’s a little unexpected, but hear me out… I bought a royal blue workout set from Aerie, and I’m obsessed. I’ve been a black-and-white workout clothes girly for years — I purged all my bright colors a while back and never looked back. But something about that royal blue was calling to me… and ever since I got it, I’ve been wearing it nonstop.

It’s bold. It’s different. And apparently, it’s my color — bc I get compliments every time I wear it. I even snagged the matching leggings for fall and winter (because obviously), and I went all in and chose royal blue for my June mani.

It’s a small thing, but it’s reminded me how good it feels to shake things up and step outside your comfort zone — even if it’s just a new color.

6. Sparkling Energy at Crave

Okay, full-on obsessed. We added this drink to our summer menu and it is giving. It’s got clean ingredients like coffee bean extract, B12, guarana, and L-theanine — so you get energy without the crash or the jitters. My fave flavor combo we do is Blackberry Lavender and it’s like mental clarity in a cup. It’s been my go-to when I need to get stuff done but still feel human. Obviously if you aren’t local to the Tampa area you’re missing out but look for anything with those ingredients and I promise you, you (and your focus) will love it.

7. RevampING MY Cleaning Routines

Okay. Similar to switching up how I grocery haul in this season— here’s your permission slip to shake up your routines if they no longer serve the season you’re in. Case in point: I used to do all my cleaning on Saturdays — then Crave happened. That pushed everything to Sunday bc it’s when we’re closed and I was starting my week already exhausted. Realizing that, I moved chores to Friday. I know it’s small, but it’s low-key revolutionary. It gives me Sunday back — for fun, rest, nothingness. And that changes everything.

8. Post-Dinner Games Outside

One of our new favorite things to do is going outside after dinner to play games instead of scrolling or turning on the TV. Charlie got me an outdoor Connect Four set for Christmas and it’s so simple but so fun. We also play Skipbo, and my family does virtual Catan nights on Zoom. It’s connection without distraction — and it’s been so life-giving. IDK what games you’re into but I highly encourage pulling them out this summer and getting lost in a little friendly competition.

9. Using ChatGPT to Time Block My Days

I’m sure you’re using ChatGPT for a variety of things, but one way I’ve been using ChatGPT is to help me time block my day. Ya’ll. It’s amazing. I typically do it at the end of the day while my never ending to-do list is fresh in my head and that way I can mentally get prepped for the next day. I open up ChatGPT and tell it that I want help Can we write out a grace focused time blocked day for me that helps me get all of these tasks done?

. It’s like the assistant I didn’t know I needed and it’s been clutch for finding rhythm when everything feels chaotic.

10. Getting My Mental Health Meds Right

This one is personal, but I want to share it bc I’m always open about my mental health journey in this space. I’ve been on a journey with my mental health this year — and after some trial and error, I finally feel like my meds are right. It’s like I can breathe again. Think clearly again. Like I’m ME again. And that feels good. If you’re in that messy middle — please don’t give up. There is light ahead.

So that’s it — 10 things saving my life this summer. Some fun, some more serious, all real. Sometimes we think self-care has to be big and profound, but often? It’s pool floats and game nights and changing your chore day.
