In honor of WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY this week, I wanted to do a little something different and give ya’ll a REPLAY of an episode that is ranked as ONE OF THE MOST LISTENED TO OF ALL TIME here in The Self Care Sisterhood Podcast space. Okay okay… I’m bringing my FAVORITE HUMAN back on the podcast today for another HIS + HERS episode. Ya’ll LOVED him last time. So much so that it’s our MOST LISTENED TO EPISODE…which I find ironic since this is a self care SISTERhood…but I digress. 😜 I love that you love hearing his perspective. Last time we chatted it was all about taking leaps, navigating change and today I wanted to come in with BOTH ENDS OF THE MENTAL HEALTH SPECTRUM…sharing each of our specific perspectives in this area that I believe will be really helpful for anyone struggling with their mental health AND for anyone who KNOWS SOMEONE who is struggling with their mental health…aka…EVERYONE.

Before I began my journey with depression and anxiety, a friend of mine once told me that with God…nothing is wasted. Every MESS can become a MESSAGE OF HOPE for someone else if you’ll be courageous enough to share. Sometimes when we’re in the dark it’s hard to see how our story has any value…or how we’ll even make it to the other side to even share it. I get that. I’ve lived that out. I know what it’s like to be in a dark space that feels like there will be no end. And. I also know that coming back into the light I look around and realize there are so many people I can provide HOPE for with my story. It’s the kind of hope I LONGED FOR in my darkest nights and it’s my honor to pass that hope along to any human who needs it. That’s my prayer for this space today - a prayer of HOPE…a prayer of HEALING. Some LIGHT in the DARKNESS.

The one of the personal struggling and their journey to heal AND the story of the person who is witness behind closed doors to the struggle and how they can gain awareness + support in this process. This story is sensitive and I hope you hear my heart…it’s to inspire you to find tools + resources + hope in your journey, whether you’re struggling or know someone who is.
