Hello hello friends! I have an incredible episode today that’s gonna leave you fired up and READY to FINISH 2024 STRONG, but before I dive in I have a really special announcement!!!

THE SISTERHOOD RETREAT IS COMING BACK THIS FEBRUARY 2025!!! 👯‍♀️🖤

So many of you reached out that you simply couldn’t make our September retreat work for you but that you HAD TO GET YOUR BOOTY TO THE NEXT ONE. Well rubber meet road bc it’s here! 😜 Seriously though. The power and magic and transformation that happened in the September Retreat was EVERYTHING and I just want MORE WOMEN to experience this. The ladies who came had doubts - probably just like you - they were nervous, they had thoughts like “what if I don’t get along with anyone,” “what if I wasted my money on this,” “what am I doing…I should be home taking care of my family”…and every concern in-between. And they all walked out saying some version “EVERY WOMAN NEEDS THIS.”

My girl Chelsea said “this is the greatest thing I’ve ever done.” She left feeling excited to go back home and implement everything she learned and show others the changes she’s ready to make.

Cindy said
“I’m walking away with a lot more CONFIDENCE and a lot more DIRECTION.”

Kristina said
“I came to learn and creating lasting friendships and a bond and I found that here. The pampering was perfect from the AirBnb to the food to the gifts and the personalized goodies. I felt at home with women I literally just met.”

So take it from them…not me. You WANT to be in the room. Let me share some quick details with ya:

If you’re listening in real time it’s officially FALL + Q4 and I LOVE this time of year bc I really think it’s when you see people become their most productive selves. Seriously. The fresh season of fall hitting, back to school, the days getting shorter, the year coming to a close. It all pulls on our natural instinct to want to finish the year strong. I know January often gets the glory when it comes to dreams and goals and all the things, but this time of year is actually when I think it’s smartest to get after your goals and finish strong.

January is a great time to DREAM BIG. But here at the close of the year, when the end is near…it’s the best time to remember what you wanted to accomplish and then give yourself permission to get after it. Today I want to talk about 4 of my FAVE ways to finish ANY year strong AND why the fall + Q4 are the BEST TIME of year to get after your goals.

LET’S DIVE IN. 🖤

4 WAYS TO FINISH 2024 STRONG (+ WHY THIS IS THE BEST TIME TO GET AFTER YOUR GOALS)

The final stretch of 2024 is going to be the best time for you to reconnect, revamp, and set yourself up for success — not only for this year but to hit the ground running in 2025. I promise I’ll talk about WHY this time of year specifically IS THE TIME to do all of this, but first, I wanna share four strategies to help you finish strong and stay ahead of 99% of people:

1. Reconnect with Your 2024 Vision/Goals

The year may be winding down, but your goals don’t have to. Often, we set goals at the beginning of the year with high energy, only to lose momentum along the way. Reconnecting with your 2024 vision helps you realign with the intentions you set for yourself and that matters, friends.

Here’s what I suggest you do to get the most bang for your buck in this department -

  • Review your original goals. What did you set out to accomplish this year? What progress have you made? Was there a word or phrase you held onto at the top of the year to guide you? Or did you have a resolution that might need to get dusted off? What did you say you wanted for this specific year? Take a moment and check in on that.

  • Celebrate your wins. No matter how small, I KNOW there were so many ways you’ve been winning so far this year. Acknowledge that effort and celebrate yourself. This builds confidence and motivation. And. It reminds you that you’re doing better than you’re most likely giving yourself credit for. Find your wins. And celebrate yourself.

  • Adjust where necessary. Goals aren’t set in stone; if you’ve shifted priorities or learned new things along the way, it’s okay to refine your vision for the remainder of the year. I say it in this space all the time - sometimes the issue with our goals is that we got off track, sure. So we get back on track. But sometimes the goal is no longer for you and that’s okay too. This is where you get to give yourself permission (not a free pass, but PERMISSION) to lay things down that no longer align with your best self, values, and vision.

Focusing on your original vision gives you the clarity and energy to finish strong rather than coasting through the final months. You’ll be ahead of most people bc most people are going to wait until the ball drops to reconnect with their goals…this practice is already giving you a head start to making PROGRESS.

2. Revamp Your Routines (AM, PM, etc.)

Your routines are the backbone of your success. If the year hasn’t gone quite as planned, a key place to check in is with your daily habits bc in this space you know that WHAT YOU DO IS WHO YOU BECOME. So if you’ve been frantic and disorganized and feeling all over the place…I’m gonna guess that your routines have also been. And two of my FAVE routines are how we start our day and how we end it. Now is the perfect time to reset and revamp your morning and evening routines.

  • Morning routines set the tone for your day. Whether it’s through journaling, exercise, or focused quiet time, use your mornings to get clear on your priorities. I like to think of each morning as a menu of sorts - asking myself what I need. This season maybe it’s to get your workout in before school starts, or maybe you need to get dinner prepped and going in the crock pot before work so night time is less stressful with all the moving pieces. Figure out what YOU need in this season and adopt a morning routine that fits to set the tone of that kinda day.

  • Evening routines allow you to reflect, reset, and prepare for the next day, helping you wind down intentionally. Again, this is going to look different for everyone and from season to season, but for me, I do a combination of resetting my environment so it’s prepped and clean in the morning (dishwasher running, kitchen and living room picked up and tidy, workout clothes set out and morning stack ready) and I also unwind my brain so I can get good rest (this looks like my evening skin care routine, making a night time mocktail, reading fiction, taking a bath, etc).

Revamping your routines won’t just help you finish 2024 strong — you’re ALSO setting the foundation for a more productive and focused 2025. Imagine walking into the new year with habits already in place that support your goals.

3. Set an Ambitious Goal Focused on YOU Before the Ball Drops

You’ve reconnected with your original goals and you’ve revamped your routines, so the next thing I’m gonna nudge you to do is set an ambitious, personal goal. Many people assume that goal-setting is a January thing, but setting a powerful goal in Q4 can give you the competitive edge and boost your confidence. And I want it to specifically be PERSONAL. Not professional. Not for someone else. But PERSONAL. Why?!

  • This reignites your motivation. When you commit to something meaningful that’s just for you, it energizes you in a way that external achievements often don’t.

  • This sets you apart from the pack. While most people are slowing down and putting their goals on hold until next year, you’re doubling down on making real progress.

  • This allows you to position yourself for all the dreams you’ll inevitably have in 2025. Self care is not selfish. And committing to a personal goal IS self care, ya’ll. How can you do all those things you want to do in a fresh year if you aren’t taking care of you, right? So make it personal.

Your goal could be fitness-related, a new hobby, or personal development. The key is to make it sometime you can achieve in the next few months. Achieving it before the year ends will have you entering 2025 with momentum, while everyone else is just getting started and that sets you apart, my friend. You might think “I only have three months left, Britt” but that’s the difference between a January dream and an end of year goal. January dreams feel like they have all the time in the world. End of year goals have a sense of urgency. So reconnect with your dreams, revamp your routines, and set an ambitious goal you can focus on before the ball drops.

4. Prep for 2025 Early

Last I wanna talk about getting a jump start on 2025. Talk about getting ahead of 99% of society?! While others are coasting through the holiday season, you can use this time to plan your next year.

Here are my FAVE ways to prep for 2025 before the ball drops:

  • Brainstorm your 2025 goals. Don’t wait until the new year to start thinking about what you want to achieve. This doesn’t have to be much, but just start to think about it. What do you want to achieve, do, or create in 2025? I think thru various areas in my life like finances/giving, professional goals, health and wellness, home/environment, spirituality/faith, relationships/family, memories/travel/fun.

  • Reflect back on what worked in 2024 and what didn’t. This practice will give you so much insight so you can duplicate the things that are working and make tweaks to anything that isn’t.

  • Order a new planner. I know you might think it’s a little early to grab a fresh planner, but this is something I look forward to this time of year. Because now I don’t feel like the story is ending and there’s nothing left to do…it’s like I have a continuation beyond 2024 and I can start taking ownership over my calendar for the coming year. I can insert vacations we want to take, quarterly business goals I want to work towards, and really just getting my ideas on paper + plannedd out instead of simply in my head.

  • Pick a WORD for the year. Just like goals for a fresh year, I like to start considering what my intention/focus is in the coming year. This can be a word or a phrase, but it’s typically in an area I’m struggling with so I can bring it to the forefront of my mind. This past year my word was FOCUS and in previous years I’ve had words like

Starting the year with a plan (rather than scrambling in January) gives you a massive advantage. By the time the ball drops, you’ll already be steps ahead, with clarity on what you want and how you’re going to achieve it. You wont’ just start the year with DREAMS, you’ll be ready to DO something about them. And I love that for you.

WHY THIS IS THE BEST TIME OF YEAR TO GET AFTER YOUR GOALS.

There’s something about fall that the other season’s simply can’t match when it comes to productivity and getting after your goals. I wanna show you the differences so you can stop beating yourself up when you “fall off the wagon” in various seasons and start using this knowledge to your advantage.

1. Fall Offers Structure After the Chaos of Summer

While summer is all about longer days, vacations, and a more relaxed pace of life, fall signals a return to routine. The lazy days of summer are behind us, and with school back in session and work schedules solidifying, fall brings a natural rhythm that helps us refocus on structure and productivity. It’s a great time to re-establish routines and dive back into anything that may have been paused over the summer season.

In summer, routines often go out the window, and we tend to operate at a slower pace. While this break is essential for rest and rejuvenation, it’s in fall that we feel that pull to regain focus. It’s easier to be intentional and productive when the distractions of summer fade away and we settle back into a consistent rhythm and routine to our days.

2. Fall Feels Grounded (Unlike the Hectic Start of January)

Friends. I love January and I love a fresh year. And I love dreaming big. But you gotta know that January is the WORST TIME to get after major goals. Here’s why. You’re exhausted from the holidays, financially stretched, cold weather kicks in and seasonal depression is a thing, and while you have big dreams for the year ahead…you also have TIME. And so bc we aren’t in a rush and the pace slows down a bit in the winter months, it’s normal to not feel productive or in the mood to push. In January, many of us are still in a post-holiday fog - with a mix of hibernating and recovering from all the social interactions. Fall, on the other hand, has a steady, grounded feel. The transition from summer to fall brings a sense of calm and stability that January lacks. The holiday buzz hasn’t quite kicked off yet, and there’s still time to finish the year strong without the frantic rush that comes with New Year’s resolutions.

3. Fall is More Sustainable for Long-Term Change Compared to Spring’s Burst of Energy

Spring doesn’t usually show up and last. We get hints of it with a warm day here. More sunshine there. And those burst of energy for “spring cleaning” and renewal, come and go. Again, totally normal. While the days get longer and the weather warms up, spring energy tends to be more of a gradual build. People feel the excitement of starting fresh, but it can be hard to maintain long-term focus and discipline as spring turns into the chaos of end of school year things and the onset of summer.

Fall, on the other hand, has a more balanced and sustainable pace. The cooler weather and shorter days encourage us to settle in, focus, and make real progress. It’s easier to maintain the momentum you build in the fall, as the slower pace allows for more consistent action rather than quick bursts of motivation.

So do you see why this is the BEST TIME to start making progress on those things that personally matter to you? Friends. The end of the year…this fall/Q4 push is the PERFECT TIME to reconnect with your goals, revamp your routines, set an ambitious personal goal, and prep for a successful 2025. Most people slow down as the year closes, but by staying focused, you’ll not only finish strong—you’ll be miles ahead as the new year begins. And I love that for you. It’s your chance to outperform 99% of people and show up for yourself in a way that makes you proud AND plays on the natural rhythms that are happening all around us anyways.

I love you. I’m rooting for you. And I’ll see you right here next time on The Self Care Sisterhood Podcast. 🖤🤟🏼
